Mutual aid resources
Friends -
Right now thousands of Vermonters are facing devastation from the worst flooding we have experienced in at least a decade. This is a difficult time for our state, and we must all come together to support the individuals and communities who have been impacted by the devastation.
There are many organizations and groups engaging in flood relief and mutual aid work. We wanted to share some resources on ways you can support those efforts or seek support if you have been affected by the flooding.
Flood Relief Resources
· Vermont Emergency Management Website: You can sign up to volunteer and get updated information on the state's response to the disaster.
· Mutual Aid Spreadsheet: 350 Vermont put this sheet together as a resource for people who need help and those who are looking to provide support.
· Mutual Aid Facebook Group: The Facebook group to share and receive information related to mutual aid on the flooding.
· Resource list: This is a crowd funded resource list for flood relief efforts.
As we support those impacted, we must also remember that Vermont will continue to experience disasters like this with increasing frequency as climate change worsens. This is a wakeup call for us to accelerate action in Vermont to address the climate crisis while adapting our communities to the new normal.
In solidarity,
Josh Wronski
