State Representative Cindy Weed


Franklin-7 (Enosburg, Montgomery) 
Cindy has been a Vermont resident for 40 years, was born in Springfield, MA on May 20, 1953. She attended schools in Springfield and Hazardville, CT and graduated from North Country Union High School in Newport, VT. Cindy graduated from Community College of Vermont with an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and from Johnson (VT) State College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional Studies. Cindy is a self-employed woodworker specializing in wooden jewelry and barrettes dba Jewelwood of Vermont. Her work was featured in Fine Woodworking Design Book #6. Cindy is also a freelance journalist, photographer and public relations specialist for Weed Public Relations. She is a former public relations specialist and program instructor, Open Doors After-School and Summer Programs; former grant writer/publicity specialist/communications coordinator, St. Albans Town Educational Center; former Executive Director, Vermont Hand Crafters, Inc.; and former academic tutor, Enosburg Falls Middle and High School. Cindy currently serves as a board member with Northern Tier Center for Health (NOTCH,) comprised of fi ve federally funded health centers in Franklin County. She has also served as a board member of the Enosburg Falls Prudential Committee (school board) and was Board Member/Public Relations Chairwoman for the Opera House at Enosburg Falls. She is a stand up bass player/singer/songwriter with the Missisquoi River Bluegrass Band. Cindy is married to James Weed, has three children and one grandson.
