David Zuckerman: Help Progressives Organize in September

Dear Friends,

If you know me, you know that I have consistently called on all Vermonters to get more involved in the political process. Our current times add extra urgency to that request. In Vermont, we must be ready fight back against the terrible policies coming from Washington, and ready to fight for an agenda that puts the needs of working class families, our environment, and historically marginalized communities first.

With that in mind, I would like to share with you the list of Vermont Progressive Party town caucuses. This is a great way for you to learn more about the VPP’s fight for a $15 wage, a clean environment, racial justice reform, ending the war on drugs, universal primary care, and so many other issues I have advocated for over the years. These town caucuses are a great way for you to get involved in moving our progressive agenda forward, whether you’re ready to run for office, or just want to add your support.

More than ever people are coming together around shared values. We saw this nationally with the millions of people who participated in the Women’s and Climate marches, at state wide events opposing cuts to the Affordable Care Act, and now it is happening at Progressive caucuses around Vermont.  I encourage you to use this as an opportunity to meet neighbors who share your values and get involved in creating a Vermont we can all believe in. As our own Senator Sanders says, “Real change never occurs from the top on down, but always from the bottom on up.”

If you don’t see your town on the list, please contact Party Director Josh Wronski at josh@progressiveparty.org or (802) 229-0800 to find out how you can schedule a Progressive Caucus for your town.
